Bachelor of Education ( Waikato University) , Dip Teaching, Dip Management (Auckland University), Dip Psychosynthesis Counselling, Certificate in Supervision ( Human Development and Training institute) , Completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples
Background
Bridget has a background in senior management and consulting, secondary teaching and related management roles. Since 2003 she has worked in private practice with individuals, couples, young people, and workplace groups providing counselling, couples therapy, supervision, coaching, crisis Intervention, training and group support.
Bridget says “I see my role as empathically joining with clients to explore their experience; to achieve their preferred, hopeful, resourced changes to conflict, loss, anxiety, stress, emotion, thinking, behaviours, trauma and deep unhelpful patterns. I am passionate about assisting people to be skilful in relationships at work, as couples, socially, and within families while becoming all they can be as individuals. It is inspiring supporting clients working with emotion and mind to re-design their lived experience.”
Range of Modalities
She draws upon a range of modalities to provide an integrated relational model of personal and professional support. These include her training in Psychosynthesis Counselling, Management, Supervision Skills, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. She works from offices in central Auckland.
